The Rainbow Street Public School difference
Strong start, bright futures
At Rainbow Street Public School, children are curious, enthusiastic and keen to learn. We nurture children’s individual strengths, build their confidence, and develop their sense of belonging. Emphasis is placed on knowing each learner, their next step in learning and inspiring children to reach their full potential academically, personally and socially.
Caring culture, supporting every child
We welcome children from all backgrounds and know that every child learns differently and that families are key to their success. Supporting student wellbeing is at the centre of what we do. Our teachers and support team work closely with parents and carers to understand the needs of each child as we recognise, value and develop each child as a unique and whole person.
Building confident learners
We provide children with a rich variety of subjects and meaningful learning opportunities that spark curiosity, build skills and knowledge, and encourage self-discovery. Through academic challenge, our children grow into confident, capable learners who know how they learn best and are ready to make their mark both in school and in the wider world.
Principal's message
Rainbow Street Public School is a diverse, vibrant and welcoming community where every child is supported to thrive. Quality learning is valued every day, and student wellbeing is at the heart of all we do. Each learner is known, valued and inspired from the moment they arrive.
Established in 1923, our school proudly reflects a rich cultural diversity, with students from more than 40 language backgrounds. We provide a safe, inclusive environment guided by our values of caring, learning, respect and effort.
We hold high expectations for all learners and ensure every child is challenged and supported in their learning. Evidence‑based teaching builds strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, while inquiry‑based learning sparks curiosity and develops critical thinking, research and questioning skills. Enrichment opportunities in music, robotics, creative arts and sport help nurture a well‑rounded education.
Our dedicated staff bring expertise, joy and genuine care to every classroom, offering purposeful feedback and tailored support to ensure growth and success. Strong partnerships with families and the wider community further enrich the learning experience.
