Rainbow Street Public School is located in Rainbow Street adjacent to Paine Reserve. The school opened in 1923.
The school has 20 classrooms, a computer lab, library, school hall and gallery of learning. 15 of the classrooms have interactive whiteboards with plans for installation in the other rooms later this year.
The playground consists of a number of asphalt and grass areas. A large oval is located at the rear of the school and fixed playground equipment, cricket nets, a netball court and numerous handball courts are available for students to use.
