Library

Our school library is a dynamic learning resource centre for students and staff. Students have access to an extensive collection of print and electronic resources. Every student has an information literacy and research lesson each week, which includes time for browsing and borrowing both fiction and non- fiction books.  Students and staff have access to the library catalogue and online resources from both school and home.  The development of a love of reading and learning is a major focus.

All students are able to participate in the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge, Children's Book Week celebrations, including the shortlisted books, and a Book Character Parade. The library also participates in the Scholastic Book Club, which enables students to purchase books for themselves as well as a Book Fair in Term 3.

Students learn specific research skills through explicit instruction and utilising social media and technology such as blogging to share their learning journey.

Parents and caregivers are a vital part of our school library, volunteering their time to assist by covering books, working in the library and with Book Club.

Please contact Ms Mayhew (Teacher Librarian) if you would like to help in the library.
